Question: Has a landlord been fined for not abiding by the lead law?

Answer:   The first reported case of a landlord taken to civil court was announced whereas a $2000 fine and 1-year probation was issued. This is a crazy case, as the landlord was fined for NOT providing the EPA pamphlet. This case was one of 89 federal enforcement actions taken in 2020 aimed at protecting the public, especially young children, from exposure to lead paint.
