We are regularly receiving questions regarding the new Lead Law and have created a weekly “Frequently Asked Questions” (FAQ’s) forum for you as you desire to become more informed of the Lead Law and its complexity.

This week we are featuring a common question:

Question: If a rental property is sold are the lead test results transferable to the "new" owner?

Answer:  Yes.  The lead test results are transferable.  The “new” owner will need to set up their own account (on the Public Health Lead Website) and resubmit the results under this new account (by recording the lab results and uploading the lead certificate and laboratory report).

Separately, the new owner will also need to apply for their rental license with Licenses & Inspections (using Eclipse).
